HELP KEEP TERM LIMITS IN NEBRASKA

The voters in Nebraska have voted 4 times to place term limits of two 4-yr. terms on state senators.  Yet, some state senators think they know better than the voters.  The latest to slap voters in the face is  Sen. Paul Schumacher, who wants to increase term limits to 3 4-yr. terms.  If senators cannot learn legislative procedures and convince their colleagues to pass their legislation in 8 years, they should not have run for this office in the first place.  Liberals whine that term limits causes the legislature to lose institutional knowledge.  This institutional knowledge has made us one of the highest-taxed states in the nation.  We are in danger of losing our legislative term limits.  Join our NE Taxpayers for Freedom "Don't Touch Term Limits" campaign.  Email us at netaxpayers@gmail.com for a project packet today!

TAXPAYER TEA PARTY!

                                                 

"People are angry about high taxes, trillions of dollars in debt and deficits, excessive government spending, and burdensome regulations," said Doug Kagan, president of Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom.  Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom and Tea Party Patriots-Nebraska will sponsor their annual Tax Day Tea Party on Saturday, April 11, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Walnut Grove Park, 150th & Q Streets, Omaha.  The theme is "Taxed to the Max."  Keynote speaker is Iowa Congressman Steve King, a resolute fighter to curtail taxes and illegal immigration.  Other speakers include Gov. Pete Ricketts, Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, and other state and local officeholders.  Our tea party also will feature patriotic music, contests, drawings for prizes, a Liberty Tree, tables loaded with conservative and Tea Party materials, and free hot dogs, chips, cookies, and bottled water.

SUPPORT PATRICK MCPHERSON, A GOOD CONSERVATIVE

Conservatives should mobilize and come to the defense of Pat McPherson, our beleaguered Board of Education member. The Left has launched a vicious attack to remove this conservative board member, falsely accusing him of racism. Spread the word on the Internet that McPherson should remain as a strong conservative voice on the Board.  Too often, when conservatives suffer unwarranted attack from the Hard Left, other conservatives and especially Republicans run away and hide from the fight.  This disgusting behavior only makes staunch conservatives less willing to stand up for our constitutional principles. 

STOP THE OBAMA REGIME AMNESTY

Stop the Obama Amnesty.  Call the local offices of your Representative and both senators.  Request that they 1) defund the Obama plan to grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens, and 2) to pass only a continuing resolution on the budget to temporarily fund government operations, but NOT an annual budget that would make it impossible to defund the Obama Amnesty.  This amnesty travesty would add huge numbers to our welfare rolls, overburden our health care systems, and fill our classrooms with non-English speakers who carry communicable diseases.

President Obama is poised to grant complete amnesty to millions of illegal alien children.  Such initiative will only encourage thousands of additional children to attempt to smuggle themselves into the U.S. in order to take advantage of free education, free medical and health care, and other welfare benefits.  Therefore, NE Taxpayers for Freedom will show "Border States of America: Every State is now a Border State."  Bring friends & neighbors to see this hour-long film on Wed. BEAT THE OP$ BLOATED BOND ISSUE

Supporters of the OPS bond issue show their desperation by resorting to soliciting OPS junior and high school students to distribute pro-bond fliers by using their volunteer hours mandated by the school district.  With the thousands of dollars that Yes for OPS is spending on publicity and signs, one would think that they had propagandized sufficiently to win votes.  Apparently, bond proponents are worried that overtaxed residents of the Omaha Public School District see through the propaganda and resoundingly will vote down this bloated $421 million bond issue.  One more reason to help NE Taxpayers for Freedom defeat this OP$ bludgeoning of taxpaying homeowners.  Email netaxpayers@gmail.com to help distribute anti-bond fliers. 

OMAHA PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEE BASHES TAXPAYER EFFORT

Every time we fight a bloated school bond issue, there always is someone from the education establishment that can't take the heat.  Below you will see a response from an Omaha Public Schools employee, using his taxpayer-paid email OP$ account, to criticize our flyer campaign against the bloated $421 million OP$ school bond issue:

Thanks for littering my lawn and neighborhood with misinformation. If you have made recommendations for budget cuts that would renovate every building that requires it, you should have put it in your flier rather than bashing illegal immigrants and whining about the costs of conducting a proper methodology for spending taxpayer money.
