Join Nebraska Taxpayers for
Freedom to stop a proposed ordinance from Omaha city council members Franklin
Thompson and Chris Jerram to add to our wheel tax. Residents would pay a total of $74 annually
by 2019. These 2 council members instead
should lobby our state senators to restore the state gas tax revenue taken from
Omaha in 2008. Thompson and Jerram
should propose an ordinance to require contractors to guarantee their street
work for at least 2 or 3 years. Now,
both new street construction and street repaving and repairs disintegrate too
soon. Our streets filled with cracks and
craters. Drivers left with expensive
vehicle repairs. Don't blame Nebraska
weather. South Dakota streets and roads
last longer. Contact your city council
members today to squash this proposed ordinance.
This blog posts short essays on taxes, spending, government regulation, and associated topics at the local, state, and national level. We welcome replies and commentaries from fellow Nebraska taxpayers.

RINO Riddance. Join us in promoting massive
blog and other social media exposure of votes of Republicans in Name Only state
senators who vote liberal on drivers licenses for illegal aliens, gas tax
increases, and repeal of the death penalty, and seek to end term limits. Let's put their mug shots on Most Unwanted
posters and circulate these posters all over the Internet, so that NE voters
(especially their constituents) can see the shameful voting records of these

HELP KEEP TERM LIMITS IN NEBRASKA
The voters in Nebraska have voted 4 times to place term limits of two 4-yr. terms on state senators. Yet, some state senators think they know better than the voters. The latest to slap voters in the face is Sen. Paul Schumacher, who wants to increase term limits to 3 4-yr. terms. If senators cannot learn legislative procedures and convince their colleagues to pass their legislation in 8 years, they should not have run for this office in the first place. Liberals whine that term limits causes the legislature to lose institutional knowledge. This institutional knowledge has made us one of the highest-taxed states in the nation. We are in danger of losing our legislative term limits. Join our NE Taxpayers for Freedom "Don't Touch Term Limits" campaign. Email us at netaxpayers@gmail.com for a project packet today!
