Attend the Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom meeting on Wed. Sept. 21, 6:30 PM at Millard Library on south 132nd Street in Omaha.  Meet conservative candidates including Don Bacon for Congress, legislative candidates, and more.  Sign up to volunteer for these candidates.  They need your help.

SUPPORT CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES.

Every campaign, I see the same thing.  Liberals turning out in droves to support leftist candidates, taking flyers door to door, putting up yard signs, working phone banks, working at the polls on election day, writing guest editorials.  Every election, I see the same thing.  Conservatives too lazy to support conservative candidates by taking flyers door to door, putting up yard signs, working phone banks, working at the polls on election day, writing guest editorials.  Liberal candidates win, because conservatives are too lazy to get off their tushes to work for conservative candidates.  It is NOT enough to write a check, attend a luncheon to hear a conservative candidate, or vote on election day. Our conservative candidates need worker bees.  Select 1 or 2 conservative candidates of your choice and volunteer time and effort to help them.  Remember, liberals win when conservatives sit home!

HELP STOP GROUP HOMES

Angry about halfway houses, group homes, and frat houses or boarding houses sprouting up in your single family residential neighborhoods??  Worried about the subsequent drop in property values, crime, and noise??  Then attend our NTF monthly meeting Wed. Aug. 17, 6:30 PM at Millard Library, 132nd & Westwood Ln., Omaha.  Omaha City Council members Aimee Melton and Franklin Thompson will discuss these problems and explain current city ordinances and regulations that govern zoning in residential neighborhoods.  Please invite your friends & neighbors to attend!

RALLY WITH "JEAN'S TEAM"

Join the Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom rally for Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert's fiscally conservative budget.  Wear a "Jean's Team" sticker and meet us at 5:45 PM on Tue. Aug. 9, on the north plaza of the city-county bldg. 1819 Farnam Street.  Then join us upstairs when we testify in favor of the budget at 7 PM.   

SUMMER TEA PARTY.

It's that time of year again.  Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom again will protest the treatment of taxpayers by officeholders in Nebraska and Congress.  "We continue to protest against taxes and illegal immigration," said Doug Kagan, NTF president, "because elected officeholders continue to anger us with high taxes, higher debt, excessive spending, burdensome regulations on businesses, and undeserved privileges for illegal aliens."  With themes of " No Taxation without Representation" and "No Illegal Immigration without Representation," taxpayers will rally (rescheduled) on Friday, July 29, at Walnut Grove Park, 150th & Q Streets, Omaha, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. 

Keynote speakers will be Att.-Gen. Doug Peterson, Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, and 2nd District congressional candidate Don Bacon on taxes, and Dr. Mark Christian on Radical Islam.  Plus, a new Property Tax Relief Proposal for the Legislature!! Those attending can speak with conservative state and local candidates and officeholders. 

NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS MEETING

Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom will host Tim Burke, CEO of OPPD, at our 6:30 PM Wed. July 20 meeting at Millard Library, 132nd & Westwood Lane, Omaha.  Mr. Burke will discuss our utility rates, federal regulations and mandates that cause our rates to rise, and the abrupt closure of the Ft. Calhoun nuclear plant.

FIGHT YOUR HOME VALUATION HIKE

Bring neighbors and attend our NE Taxpayers for Freedom meeting on Wed. June 22, 6:30 PM at Millard Library, 132nd & Westwood Ln., Omaha.  Douglas County Clerk Dan Esch and a certified appraiser will give you tips and written instructions on how to protest the higher valuation on your home.  Remember that property taxes base on valuation, so the higher your valuation, the more property tax you will pay.  

FIGHT THE PROPERTY VALUATION HIKE

Worried about your property valuation skyrocketing, which would raise your taxes? Bring neighbors & attend the NE Taxpayers for Freedom town hall meeting Wed. May 18, 7 PM at Millard Library, Omaha. County Commissioners P.J. Morgan & Mike Boyle, plus County Clerk Jim Esch will discuss how taxpayers can help them appeal the Tax Equalization Review Comm. arbitrarily raising property valuations 7% in Omaha and Douglas County generally west of 72nd Street. Don't just get angry, get active!

BATTLE FOR 2ND DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL SEAT

Battle for Congress!  NE Taxpayers for Freedom will host a dual speaking engagement by the 2 conservatives running for Congress in the 2nd District against liberal Brad Ashford.  Bring family, friends, and neighbors to hear these 2 candidates publicize their positions on taxes, spending, government regulation, and other crucial issues.  Wed. TAX DAY TAXPAYER TEA PARTY

People are angry about high taxes, trillions of dollars in debt and deficits, excessive government spending, and burdensome regulations.  Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom will sponsor its annual Tax Day Tea Party on Saturday, April 23, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Walnut Grove Park, 150th & Q Streets, Omaha.  The theme is "Taxed to the Max."  Keynote speakers include Gov. Pete Ricketts, Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, and state and local conservative candidates.  Our tea party also will feature patriotic music, contests, drawings for prizes, a Liberty Tree, tables loaded with conservative and Tea Party materials, and cookies and bottled water.  Bring family, friends, and neighbors!

INVITATION TO CONSERVATIVE CAMPAIGN WORKSHOP

Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom will sponsor 2 free campaign workshops for conservatives on Monday, March 21 and Monday, March 28.  Both of these workshops will be held at 2819 South 125 Ave. #362*.  The objective of these workshops is to educate and familiarize conservative activists with the best ways to help federal, state, and local conservative candidates win their primary elections.  To register for one or both of these workshops, email netaxpayers@gmail.com.  Snacks will be served.

NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS FEBRUARY MEETING.

Wed. Feb. 17, 6:30 PM.  At Millard Library, 132nd & Westwood Ln., Omaha, Dr. Mark Christian from the Global Faith Institute will speak at our NTF meeting on the dangers of Muslim resettlement in Nebraska and its effect on state taxpayers. Mark came to America in 2005, and soon discovered the shocking extent of Islamic infiltration in his adopted country. To Mark, a man steeped in both religious and political Islam, a man who grew up amidst the planning and scheming of the Muslim Brotherhood, the recognition of their agenda at work in the United States was almost immediate. Mark had grown up watching his father and uncle as they, with their Brotherhood associates, had planned it all some three decades earlier. Recognizing the urgency of this grim threat and informed by his unique upbringing, he responded with the formation of the Global Faith Institute as a way to protect his cherished American freedoms from the sickness he thought he had left behind in Egypt.

Dr. Christian’s great-uncle is one of the founders of the original Muslim Brotherhood, and Mark’s father, (who became a member in his teens) remains a highly-respected advisor for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt to this day.

NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS JANUARY MEETING.

On Wed. Jan. 20, 6:30 PM, State Senator John McCollister will speak at our NTF meeting at Millard Library on his bill, LB 851, to require all state agencies, boards, and commissions to make public their financial records, particularly their spending records.  In the past, these entities have hidden and refused to divulge this information and have used their funds to lobby against taxpayers.  Bring friends and neighbors!
