90 days into the Harris-Biden Regime: The Regime announced the immediate levying of a 5% tax on all paychecks and Social Security payments in order to subsidize “free” Socialist Health Care for All.  No more insurance co-pays or premiums!  There will be a bit of medical care rationing, however.  If you are over 65 and suffer from a debilitating condition like heart disease, cancer, or COPD, Kamala Kare will guarantee that you are only entitled to pain pills and a Biden Bear to ease your pain and discomfort.  Vote conservative on Nov. 3!

CELEBRATE CONSTITUTION DAY

 

Today is Constitution Day.  NE Taxpayers for Freedom hopes every NE citizen takes a few minutes to read our sacred Constitution bestowed upon us by our Founding Fathers.  These men (and women who didn’t get credit), having sacrificed greatly in wartime, granted us a system of laws & government never then practiced anywhere in the world.  It is the responsibility of posterity to protect this gift.  In this election, we face an unprecedented assault on our Constitution by socialists/communists in the Democrat Party.  As of this date, we still have the opportunity to use our constitutional right of voting to elect & re-elect patriotic, conservative candidates on Nov. 3.  Do not allow the Socialist Democrats to destroy our constitutional heritage.  And a special thanks to State Sen. Julie Slama for sponsoring LB 399, a bill to encourage NE public school students to study our Constitution. 

THE REAL PROBLEM

 

The Omaha Weird-Herald whined about partisanship in the Legislature preventing that body from making substantive decisions on key issues.  The problem is not partisanship; it is ideological differences.  There are a number of senators who seriously want tax relief for Nebraskans.  There also are Socialist Democrats and RINOS who don’t want tax relief but more spending on welfare programs and restraints on law enforcement.  On Nov. 3, Nebraskans can break this deadlock by voting for fiscally conservative candidates and incumbents.  Volunteer for their campaigns now.  Only then can we gain a legislative majority to pass real property tax relief and reform.  Email netaxpayers@gmail.com to join the effort!

ELIMINATE THIS BUREAUCRACY

 

Your Douglas-Sarpy Co. tax $$ at work: The Learning Community (LC) spent $19,320.40 in July & August for baby diapers and formula.  The objective of the LC is to improve academic achievement for poor & minority children, not provide babysitting services.  The LC is an out of control bureaucracy, its board members continually seeking to expand its services outside its original objectives, wasting our tax $$ in wanton disregard for fiscal control.  Despite its profligate spending, no creditable improvement in academic achievement for its hapless students.  Contact your state senator to eliminate the LC before it expands outstate.  Email  netaxpayers@gmail.com to join our NTF Education Watch Project. 

TAXPAYERS LOST A HERO

 

Taxpayers lost a hero with the passing of Chuck Sigerson.  While on the Omaha City Council, Chuck always spoke for and voted for city property taxpayers, and he spoke both sincerely and forcefully.  When he occasionally disagreed with our taxpayer group, he carefully explained his reasoning.  It was unfortunate that his health precluded him from advancing up the political ladder to higher office, where he certainly would have similarly championed the taxpayer cause.  Taxpayers should be grateful that he helped us as much as he did, and we should remember his public service always. 

ONE MORE REASON TO VOTE FOR TRUMP

 

Riots, burning, looting, assaults, & other mayhem continues in many American cities.  Almost ignored in this tumult is the fact that local taxpayers must pay to repair all the damage to civic infrastructure.  Looted and vandalized businesses, disgusted with the ongoing disorder, are fleeing to more peaceful localities, depriving their former locales of business tax revenue.  These inflamed metropolises will only add to the number of decaying and crime-ridden cities already abandoned by their productive populations.  We will now have to listen to their Socialist Democrat civic leaders beg for state and federal aid to pay their bills.  The remedy: Vote Trump in 2020. 

GOOD RIDDANCE CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE

 

Only for budget-cutting reasons has UN-L closed its Confucius Institute, a Red Chinese front widely acknowledged for spying, stealing commercial secrets, & otherwise engaging in subversion on college campuses.  UN-L is one of the last U.S. campuses to expel this Institute.  Unfortunately, the UN-L chancellor supports other partnerships with the communist regime.  Now, irate taxpayers must lobby their university regents to expel the UN-O Confucius Institute, whose staff salaries NE taxpayers help pay.  All 8 regents have refused to expel Confucius Institutes from NE.  Share your opinions with them as follows:  Tim Clare tclare@nebraska.edu, Howard Hawks hhawks@nebraska.edu, Jim Pillen jpillen@nebraska.edu, Elizabeth O’Connor eoconnor@nebraska.edu, Robert Schafer rschafer@nebraska.edu, Paul Kenney pkenney@nebraska.edu, Bob Phares bphares@nebraska.edu, and Barbara Weitz bweitz@nebraska.edu. 

DO A CIVIC DUTY

 

So many taxpayers are not registered to vote.  The only way to lower taxes in our state right now is to elect candidates and return incumbents who pledge to reform our tax system.  Every vote counts.  Contact every one of your conservative taxpayer friends, relatives, & neighbors and confirm that they are registered voters.  Citizens who do not register to vote should not complain about their tax burden.  And be sure to volunteer for at least 1 conservative candidate in your area. 

GOOD RIDDANCE TO DUDA

 

In a guest WH editorial this morning, Rick Galusha heaped praise on Douglas Co. Commissioner Clare Duda as eminently respectful.  As a taxpayer who frequently speaks at county board meetings, I have found Duda to be seriously disrespectful, condescending, and downright insulting to taxpayers who take time from their busy lives to testify before the county board on tax issues.  Duda voted to raise his salary over 50% in only a few years, raised our property taxes regularly, & recently voted to spend millions of CARES Act $$ on entertainment venues instead of aiding first responders & medical personnel.  He richly deserved his beating in the May primary, and good riddance to him & his horrid hyena laugh. 

WATCH OUT FOR THOSE TAXES.

 

Local government subdivisions around the state are making increased noises about having to raise their property taxes, if they do not receive enough CARES Act money to pay for unanticipated expenses caused by the coronavirus pandemic.  There is only a finite amount of $$ available from the CARES Act.  This local government threat merely provides another excuse for cities, towns, counties, school districts, NRDs, etc. to hike our property taxes during a time when citizens are suffering sometimes catastrophic financial pressure from the economic downtown.  Learn how to be a taxpayer watchdog.  Email netaxpayers@gmail.com.
